FRONT-END MODS
WordPress themes are great for allowing you to change the entire look of your website with just a few mouse clicks. Many themes even provide an Options dashboard where you can select things like colours or fonts, and this may be fine for basic customisations. But have you ever been frustrated by its limitations and wanted more?
The inherent problem with almost all themes is that they put you in a sandpit with a handful of styling tools to play with and this can severely limit your creative freedom! Easy Code Manager gives you back the control so you can write front-end CSS customisations with our powerful and unique Code Blocks.
Must have plugin for developers
“This plugin has been a life saver for me. I’ve been able to customise my theme exactly the way I want it. I’ve built submenus to specific pages, a custom shadowbox, short-codes containing repeating content such as order forms, and implemented JavaScript for scrolling animations. The sky is the limit!”
Do you fear what a Theme update will do to your front-end customisations?
How about the frustration and wasted hours repairing your site when this happens?
With Easy Code Manager, you are adding CSS code customisations inside a Code Block, therefore storing your code safely in the database. Since it is kept separately from your theme files, you can update your theme without losing your customisations. Your code blocks (and CSS code) will always be available for you to: use, modify, assign to a new location, deactivate or delete as you wish.
Brilliant plugin. How could I ever do without it!
This is a brilliant plugin. It organises all of the code and CSS that you like to add to your WordPress theme in one place in easy to use Code Blocks. Absolutely great. I cannot recommend this too much. And if you ever switch themes, NOTHING breaks, because all your code is in the Code Blocks of this plugin. Try it and you will absolutely love it! And on top of all this greatness, you can assign your code block to only the page or post that needs it. So this speeds up your website because it only has the code where it needs it. So easy, so nice, so brilliant! limit!”
Themes often provide a simple CSS text box in its Options dashboard so you can add your own custom CSS code. This is fine if you want global style changes to run across every page of your entire site. Now if you want more flexibility, Easy Code Manager allows you to Assign the location(s) where your CSS-based code blocks will run. For example, you can assign your code blocks to a specific post category, or a single landing page, or across every page of your entire site. This not only provides targeted front-end customisations to the sections you need, but also improves on website performance.
When it comes to front-end customisations, Easy Code Manager provides you with plenty of flexibility and control.
ADDING FUNCTIONALITY
WordPress Plugins can add functionality to your website, but they can also consume resources even when they are not required. Have you ever installed too many plugins and noticed the performance start to degrade. You can keep installing more and more plugins until your page loads at a snails pace or maybe not load at all.
Easy Code Manager allows you to add functionality without the need for resource-hungry plugins. Also, you can direct exactly where on your website the functionality should run.
In the video below, we go through a quick example of using Easy Code Manager to run the Hello Dolly plugin by WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg. You will see how we add the main plugin PHP code into a code block and then use a second code block to call the function. Enjoy!!!
FAST DEVELOPMENT
It doesn’t matter if you are developing WordPress sites in a personal or professional environment, Easy Code Manager can be used to streamline your work. For example, instead of installing a WordPress plugin every time you need to add Google Analytics tracking code, you can just create a new code block and add your tracking code in there. You can then create a new code block and add your Google Adsense code. Again, no need to use up valuable resources with plugins, just keep everything lean and use Easy Code Manager code blocks.
If you are a developer in an agency, you may have a number of procedures or routines that you always perform/undertake. You may need to setup custom stylesheets, popup banner code, Google Maps code, image magnification code, tracking or advertising code, live chat code, etc. Well you could create ECM code blocks to make everything your need happen, then export them as a master Easy Code Manager XML data file. Then when you create your next website, you simply import the code blocks from the data file. All that would be required to do then is assign the locations for the code blocks. Easy!!!
TRACKING/ADVERTISING
Understanding your website visitors is important because there is no point having a website if you have no visitors. So if you haven’t considered this already, you should do so now and invest time registering for a website analytics solution.
Tracking Code
You may have heard of Google Analytics, which is a free service by Google that monitors your website traffic and reports on things like: where your visitors are coming from, what pages they are viewing, how long they are spending on your site, and more than 200 other metrics and dimensions. We have used Google Analytics in the past and although this solution is known as the industry standard, we are much BIGGER fans of a solution called Clicky Web Analytics for being super user-friendly, and full-featured with a beautiful user interface.
Click here and sign up to Clicky Web Analytics now!!!
When you register with Clicky Web Analytics, you will be asked to add a tracking code to every page on your website. Yes, this includes every page, category, blog post, and custom post as they all need to be tracked.
The tracking code will look something like this:
With Easy Code Manager, you can embed this tracking code inside a code block and assign this to your entire website or customised sections of your website. It is really EASY!!!
Advertising Code
As easy as it is to add visitor tracking code to your entire website with Easy Code Manager, it’s also easy to add advertising code. AdSense is a free service by Google that provides a simple way to earn money from your website by displaying targeted ads next to your online content. Google AdSense code can be added to Easy Code Manager code blocks and then positioned exactly on your site via ECM Shortcodes for page body ads, OR via ECM Widgets for footer or sidebar ads.
